Guide: Fix ‘Windows Snap Assist Not Working’ Issue
Windows Snap Assist is a productivity tool that divides your screen into quarters or halves, so you can open multiple applications at the same time. If your Snap Assist is not behaving properly, here are the most common troubleshooting options tips Also have a look How to Prioritize Wi-Fi networks in Windows 10
Enable it in Control Panel
Snap Assist is not turned on by default on most Windows 10 installations, so your settings may have been reset and Snap Assist turned off. You can turn it back on by going to Settings> System> Multitasking and re-enabling the ‘Automatically arrange windows by dragging them to the sides or corners of the screen’ option.
You will also find a few other poorly described options in this menu that may be the cause of your frustrations.
In tablet mode?
Snap Assist works differently if you have tablet mode on. Because every window seems to miss the resizing button, you could be tricked into thinking you can’t get Windows going.
In fact, it’s pretty easy once you know it how to do it. Just drag the top of the window down and Windows will let you place your applications side by side. If it still doesn’t work or if you prefer the old method, you can turn off tablet mode by clicking the menu in the lower right corner of the taskbar and then tapping tablet mode button Also read How to Fix Blank Google Maps on Android and Chrome
Restart Explorer.exe
The explorer.exe process is responsible for managing snap-assist. So if you restart it, Snap Assist can come back to life for you. You can restart it by opening the Windows 10 task manager with Ctrl + Shift + Esc and pressing ‘More details’. From here, search for Windows Explorer, right-click on it and click Restart. Don’t be intimidated if your taskbar disappears. It will be right back.
Adjust the size of your screen
Some users have reported that zooming in and out fixed their Snap Assist issues.
To try this, go to Settings> Display and under ‘Change the size of text, apps and other items’ go to another setting and then switch back. If you are using a tablet or laptop, you can use the drop-down menu. Otherwise, press ‘Custom scale’ and enter a number.
Run Diagnostics
If none of the steps above helped you, there may be an underlying problem with your Windows 10 installation. To tackle this without reinstalling Windows from scratch, we can run a scan of our system files. Here’s how you do it: Step 1. Search Windows for cmd or command prompt. Right click on it and select Run as administrator.Step 2. Type sfc / scannow and hit Enter.Step 3Type DISM.exe / Online / Cleanup Image / Restorehealth and hit Enter. It may take a few minutes for these commands to run, but by the time you’re done, you should be able to see that Windows isn’t missing any of the files it needs to run. read more How to Use your Android as a WiFi repeater

Shortcuts
This one will blow your mind! If you hold down the Windows key and an arrow, the window will jump to that side. For example, the key combination Windows + Down + Left places your window in the bottom left without a click. You can proceed by pressing Alt + Tab to scroll through your open applications and find the one you want to snap to the other side.
Quadrants
In the earlier versions of Windows, you could only place a window to the left or right of the screen. Windows 10 adds a new level of multitasking by allowing you to drag the windows to the farthest corners, so you can keep four applications open at the same time. Keep in mind that you can always resize the windows instead of sticking to the default grid. Snap Assist automatically resizes other running applications as required.
